The Middle Fork of Idaho's Salmon River runs 104 miles through one of America's most beautiful National Wildernesses. It's also one of the most epic sections of whitewater, with class III to IV+ rapids.

The Middle Fork is famous for its half dozen hot springs, ranging from "just right" to "wow, that's hot". The perfect way to end a long day on the river.

After a full day of running the river, we'll camp out on the banks. Note this experience isn't a "guided" trip; we'll all share in cooking, cleaning, setting up and breaking down camp.

This is an adventurous trip. Whitewater experience is not required, but you should be at least an intermediate swimmer and in good overall physical condition. Our boats will be captained by experienced boatsmen and women, and all members will be welcome to row through calm sections and rapids alike.

Late May is the start of the season for the Middle Fork, and temperatures will range from 70 degrees during the day to the low 40s at night. Accordingly, you'll want clothing and gear to ensure your comfort throughout. Camping equipment is not included, but we can help you rent if necessary. A full suggested list will be sent out in early April.
